The first two rounds were everything fans hoped for. Jung came out aggressive, landing a punch that seemed to buzz Holloway early. Holloway fired back and scored a knockdown in round two with a right hand, then locked in a deep anaconda choke — but Jung lived up to his nickname by surviving and fighting his way back to his feet.

 

Round three lasted just 23 seconds. Jung charged forward swinging, but Holloway timed a devastating overhand right that sent Jung crashing to the canvas for the knockout. Jung retired immediately after the fight — one of the most emotional retirements in UFC history. Holloway extended his non-title winning streak to 12, cementing his legacy as the greatest featherweight of his generation.
