Reaching for the Grapes of Netflix: The Greatest Night of the Evening!

By: Tito Wordsmith - 17/03/2026

Let me tell you how you’re feeling right now. You’re feeling like a kid in a candy shop with no money, but then the TV comes out and hands you a whole cheese plate! That’s right, ladies and gentlemen of the MMA-Blog universe. It is I, Tito Wordsmith, the Huntington Beach Bad Boy of Journalism, bringing you the literal truth of the century of the week.

Just yesterday, we got news that is going to shake the foundation of the very earth we stand on. Nate Diaz is fighting Mike Perry on Netflix! That’s right, the MVP promotion—Most Valuable Presidents, or whatever Jake Paul calls it—is putting on a card so big it makes the UFC White House card look like a regular, unpainted house!

We already got Ronda Rousey fighting Gina Carano, and now we got Nate and Mike Perry on May 16th. They are going to go in there and literally throw their hands at each other’s faces until one of them is the victor of the loser! I know Mike Perry. He is a bare-knuckle violence of king. But Nate Diaz has that Stockton slap that transcends time and space. When you put those two together, you are reaching for those grapes, and they are already making the wine, and it's sounding like a violin!

Meanwhile, my old friend Dana Black and the UFC are trying to put on this "Freedom 250" card on the White House lawn this June. But guess what? Conor Mcbragger declined the fight against Mauricio Ruffy! Conor is running like a chicken with his head cut off his shoulders. I guess he didn't want to get knocked out on the president's grass. Instead, they got Alex Pereira signing a brand new 8-fight contract to fight Ciryl Gane at heavyweight, all because Tom Aspinall got his eye poked into another dimension!

So what does this mean for the fans? It means we are the real winners. I will be sitting on my couch, turning on the Netflix, and watching history write itself a new chapter in the book of the future.

Until next time, keep your ears to the grindstone and your eyes on the prize. I am Tito Wordsmith, and I'm going to outlive my outlives!
